About Widcombe Consultants
Widcombe Consultants is a Bath-based management consultancy, established in 2007. It is led by Gary Curtis, whose career spans IT and digital delivery, management consultancy and organisational operations, including large-scale digital programmes in healthcare.
That delivery background shapes the work. AI projects fail for the same reasons other change programmes fail: unclear ownership, weak governance and benefits nobody measured. We bring AI expertise, and the delivery discipline to make it stick.

We already have Microsoft 365 Copilot licences. Do we still need help?
Often, yes. Licences give people a tool, not a way of working. We help you decide which processes to change first, what staff are allowed to do with which data, and how to measure whether the time saved is real.
Which AI tools do you recommend?
We are not resellers and take no commission. We work with what you already own where it fits, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Studio, Claude and ChatGPT, and recommend something else only when there is a clear reason.
How do you handle data protection?
Governance comes first. Every engagement sets out what data each AI use may touch, who approves it, and how outputs are checked, in line with UK GDPR and your existing information governance.
Can you work through a procurement framework?
Yes. We can contract directly on a fixed-price statement of work, or talk to you about the route your procurement team prefers.
How quickly can we start?
A readiness review can usually start within two to three weeks of a first conversation and takes about two weeks to complete.
